The "I"
I am a seeker of truth, a speaker of truth, and a spreader of truth. I am one who has the courage to die and be reborn. I am a master builder, birthing original designs that aim to resolve and bring remedy. I am a Mother, responsible for nurturing love to all of my children. I am a Woman, honoring matrimony and harmony with a Son who shines his light. I am a teacher and student, inspiring the growth and development of other teachers and students.
I have transmuted (overcame) the lowest of schisms and mental prisons: poverty, insecurities, physical/mental/emotional violations, pain, anger, mistrust, Hybrid-European Colonial Operations, suffocation, and subjugation.
I have risen into love, truth, peace, freedom, justice, harmony, balance, dignity, worth, compassion, redemption, nature's law, laughter, joy, and honor.
I am a newly awakened ancient scientist, creating and producing measurable formulas. I am a reconnected artist, performing magic with words, storytelling, poetry and thought. I am light. I am love. I am living.
The "Me"
Cadrena "Shine" Bey is a well-rounded, competent, and keen Social Scientist & Artist who has served in various roles and positions since 2007. A native of California land mass; specifically, Compton, Long Beach, and Los Angeles, Shine was born with a quest to learn.
Although Shine has appreciated the opportunities of obtaining both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Science associated with the study of social work from universities in rural, North Louisiana (Grambling) and urban, Southern California (Long Beach), she ultimately values the experiences and lessons afforded to her outside of the classroom.
Shine has worked as several titles ranging from a Director in Financial Development, an Associate Clinician in Mental Health and Psychological Treatment, a Manager in local & state Public Policy, an Advisor in "Educational" Equity, a Coordinator in Organizing, and a Specialist at a host of corporations and entities in the public and private sectors across many systems. Humbly, Shine has also served as a team member in the food and retail industries.
As a result of her trajectory, Shine has a keen awareness of how operators of unjust systems and structures deeply effect the practices and conditions of a nation, family, and singular being.
As a result of her experiences, Shine has developed leadership skills in the areas of verbal and written communication, critical thinking, research analysis and data evaluation, vocalization, conceptual design, economic development & sustainability, organizational structure & order, and the production of measurable outcomes.
Shine Bey is a hardworking, good-spirited woman who embodies the knowledge, skills, and abilities to advance and uplift the mission of those she serves. Shine works diligently to make a difference and challenges herself to raise the bar in all that she does. Shine is a transceiver who is open and receptive to feedback. Shine works well with and values the perspectives/inputs of others while being able to develop and maintain her own. Shine is a woman who can both lead and delegate, as well as work alongside a team and collective to efficiently complete a task.
Shine Bey is a self-proclaimed poet & social reformer who is heavily influenced by hip-hop, soul music, science, mathematics, astrology, and cosmology. Shine has made a pivotal, life-changing trajectory by leaving the corporate arena to build, birth, and grow Healing Truths Center.
